Oh. My. God.

You’ve got to see this series. Insane. Click here. The interface is a little confusing–there’s a blue next button at the top right of the images. For the multi-shot images like this one you can scroll forward and back by running your cursor sideways across the photo. Cool interface, but takes a bit of playing to know what it does. The shots of Laird Hamilton are 17 of 24. All the shots are amazing. Teahapoo (pronounced Cho-poo) looks like the ocean being folded over, doesn’t even look like a wave to me. You can’t describe it as a thick lip, it’s solid back to the horizon. Notice that you can see the people behind the wave. Some weird unnatural phenomenon. No way I’d ever get into something like this unless I decided to end it all in as messy and painful a way as possible. One screwup and even Laird would be dead.
